Beautiful clean crisp unused mint condition pair of chintz cheater cloth pot holders. Made in the 1870s, the pot holders have both trendle machine and hand stitching. The pot holders are about 6 5/8 inches in diameter. Each has a different chintz cheater cloth front design, plain brown back and a boarder of brown and white tiny check pattern. One has a piece of paper stitched to the front that reads "These pot holders were made by Great-Grandma Risser (Mammy)." This is a fantastic early pair of pot holders in outstanding conditon.
