A lovely early blown clear flint footed master salt in the "OVIGAL" or "DIAMOND" pattern. Attributed to the Stiegel of Manheim, PA. The clear flint glass salt has a double ogee pattern molded bowl and expanded vertical ribbed knop. Applied small foot that has a slightly polished and rough pontil. The salt is just over 3 inches high, 2 3/8 inches in diameter and a foot diameter of 2 1/4 inches. The salt is in excellent condition and is not chipped, cracked or nicked. The glass is clear and is not sick, cloudy, discolored or have chemical deposits. A great early blown master salt.
