GASKET BAND OIL LAMP BY BAKEWELL, PEARS AND COMPANY

Wonderful high standard oil lamp in the "GASKET BAND" pattern. Made by Bakewell, Pears & Company of Pittsburgh, PA in 1875. The oil lamp is about 15 5/16 inches high to top of chimney and 7 1/2 inches high to top of collar. Lamp has an unusual design on font and a fluted prism pattern on the foot. The burner is marked EAGLE on both the top and thumb screw and the chimney looks like an early replacement. The lamp is in excellent condition free of chips, cracks or nicks.
