Wonderful lighting advertising item. It is an original gas mantle with lava coating in its original store sleeve. The tube is 4 5/16 inches long and 1 3/4 inches in diameter. The cardboard tube is very colorful with a mermaid holding a right light over the sea. On one side is "High Grade Cap Mantle - USA - Block Gas Mantle Co. - Youngstown, OH. On the other is "Block No.20 - Lava Coated Support." It is in excellent condition with minor wear to the tube. The mantle shows wear on the lave supports and there is a hole in the mantle. The mantle has never been burned. A great early lighting advertising item.
