A very nice deep plate or soup bowl in green transferware in the "ROSE AND CHAIN" pattern. Made about 1845 by Ridgway & Company, the bowl is about 10 inches in diameter. Marked with the company's stamp on back. It is marked on the back with the pattern name, Imperial Stone and JR-CP all within a large multi-pointed star and belt. The pattern consists of a large spray of roses in the center with a border pattern of a fancy chain and feathery sprays. It is in excellent condition free of chips, cracks or nicks. There is minor crazing and wear on rim. Two available.
