QUEENS WARE SOFT PASTE PLATE BY ROGERS c.1830s

A very nice early soft paste plate in Queens Ware. It is also sometimes referred to as Queens Rose. The plate has a hand painted above glaze design. The boarder is very lovely with its feathered decoration. The plate was made by Rogers in the 1830s era. It is impressed "ROGERS" on the back and also the numeral "7." The plate is about 8 3/8 inches in diameter. It is in excellent condition and is not chipped, cracked or nicked. The plate is not scratched or have crazing. The decoration is also very good with just a bare minimal loss as is very typical of these early soft paste plates. A very nice Queens Ware decorated plate.
