A green transferware plate in the Parisian pattern. Produced by George Phillips in 1838. The plate is 9 1/4 inches in diameter. Made on a heavy china body, its border consists of a coral like design with stylized roses. The central design has two people dressed in Romantic outfits conversing. The background has a Byzantine style building. The plate has a transfer mark on its back stating the pattern name and maker. The plate is in excellent condition free of chips, cracks and nicks. There is no crazing.
