This is an interesting blue transferware plate in the "MEDINA" pattern. Made by W. Ridgway in the 1830s, the plate is 9 1/4 inches in diameter. The pattern has a central theme of a camel and travelers walking the river bank. Across the river are large temples, Mosques and other buildings. The boarder pattern has a lacy diamond pattern with festoons of flowers. Fully marked on back with pattern and makers name. It is in excellent condition free of chips, cracks or nicks. There is some very minor crazing.
