Very nice early English teapot in the style of Chinese Export. Made to compete with the China Trade in the late 18th or early 19th Century, the teapot may have been made by New Hall. It is about 9 3/4 inches in length, about 5 7/8 inches high to top of its finial and about 5 1/4 inches in diameter. The pot has a nice entwined braided handle. It is in nice condition with expected wear. There is a tiny 1/4 inch flat flake off the back raised rim. On the spout there is a teeny 1/4 inch flat flake which is most likely a glaze flake as it is very shallow. The lid has some minor flaking around the steam hole which was done in the making. This is a very nice export style teapot.
