Lovely Chelsea Ware water pitcher by Enoch Wood. The pitcher has a softpaste body that has applied decoration. The decorations are a grape wreath border and there are five panels below with scenes of children and classical figures. The pitcher is 8 1/2 inches high to top of handle and 7 3/4 inches wide from spout to handle end. The decoration is a light blue on a cream body. There is an impressed "WOOD" and a "Y" on the base. The pitcher is in excellent condition free of chips, cracks or nicks. There is some overall very light crazing that is hard to see. The base seems to be the heaviest as seen in PIC.#5.
