An attractive oval covered vegetable dish in the famous "CANTON" pattern. Made about 1820, the vegetable is 11 inches long, 9 inches wide and 2 1/2 inches high. It has a pomegranate finial on the lid. The bottom of the bowl has the wonderful early orange skin glaze that is often see on Chinese Export items. This pattern is the basis of the Blue Willow pattern. It is in outstanding condition free of chips, cracks and nicks. There is no crazing or discoloration. A beautiful early Canton covered vegetable bowl.
