VIRGINIA COVERED TABLE SUGAR BOWL BY

A very nice clear covered table sugar bowl in the "VIRGINIA" state pattern. Made in 1901 by the U.S. Glass Company as part of their states series. The covered sugar has the correct lid as illustrated in the trade and company catalogs. It does not have the diamond point band on the lid. The marmalade and some of the covered bowls and compotes also do not carry the design on the lid in this pattern. It does however still has the notches on each side of the small thumbprint. The covered sugar bowl is 5 inches in diameter and about 6 5/8 inches high to top of finial. It is in excellent condition free of chips, cracks or nicks. This is a very nice covered sugar in the very popular VIRGINIA state pattern.
