PANELED CANE COVERED SUGAR BOWL c.1870

A very simple and handsome clear covered pedestaled covered sugar bowl in the "PANELED CANE" pattern. Made in 1870 by the Portland Glass Company of Portland, Maine. The sugar bowl is about 7 3/4 inches high to top of finial and 4 3/8 inches in diameter. It is in excellent condition free of chips, cracks or nicks. A great piece that fits easily into today's life style with it's simplistic pattern and can be used as a covered candy dish.
