A nice large flint pedestaled master salt in the popular "LOOP" pattern. Made in the 1850s by the Boston & Sandwich Glass Company. The master salt is about 3 3/8 inches high and 3 1/4 inches in diameter. The salt has a polished pontil. It is in excellent condition and is free of chips, cracks or nicks. The glass is clear and is not sick, cloudy, discolored or have chemical deposits. A very nice pedestaled master salt.
