HONEYCOMB - CINCINNATI FLINT BEER MUG BY McKEE c.1860s

A very nice clear flint pressed handle beer mug or stein in the ever popular "CINCINNATI OR HONEYCOMB" pattern. Made originally by Lyons and later by McKee in the 1860s. This looks and feels like a McKee product. The beer mug is 4 1/8 inches high, about 4 5/8 inches wide and has a diameter of 2 15/16 inches. It rings beautifully and is in excellent condition free of chips, cracks or nicks. There is however some minute roughness on the base on the mild line which is typical. There are also four indentations on the handle that look to be in the making. When handle is facing right they are on the rear of handle. The glass is very clear and is not sick, discolored, cloudy or have chemical deposits. A great early beer mug in a popular pattern.
