CUPIDS HUNT WIND GOD BREAD TRAY BY DITHRIDGE

This scarce and lovely bread tray is in the "WIND GOD" pattern. It is still not certain if this design may be part of CUPID'S HUNT pattern. Made by Dithridge in the 1890s, the tray is 14 inches long and 8 inches at its widest. The pattern has the Wind God on the handles and a swag and festoon boarder and the center has a diamond and lattice motif. The pattern was produced using Crystallography or "oatmeal type" decoration. For further information on this pattern please refer to the article written by Larry Dosier for the Early American Pattern Glass Society News Journal from spring 2001. The platter is in excellent condition free of chips, cracks or nicks.
