A very lovely clear with gilt oil or vinegar cruet in the very popular and highly sought after "COLUMBIAN COIN" pattern. The pattern was introduced in 1893 by the U.S. Glass Company. The cruet has its original patterned stopper. The coins depict Christopher Columbus, Americus Vespucius, Spanish Coat of arms and U.S. Coat of Arms (eagle). The cruet is 6 inches high to top of stopper, 3 1/2 inches wide and a base diameter of 3 inches. It is in excellent condition free of chips, cracks or nicks. There is a slight chemical deposit in base. A very nice cruet with its original stopper in a good collectible pattern.
