A beautiful compote in the highly sought after and extremely popular "BELLFLOWER" pattern. Made by Boston & Sandwich Glass Company in the 1850s. The low standard on domed foot flint compote is in the Fine Rib - Single Vine variety. It is 8 1/8 inches in diameter and 4 3/4 inches high. It is in excellent condition and is free of chips, cracks or nicks. The glass is very clear and is not sick, cloudy, discolored or have chemical deposits. This is a very lovely compote in a highly desirable and popular sought after pattern. Bellflower is considered one of the top ten Early American Pattern Glass patterns. Two available.
