This is a wonderful child's puzzle of the "LITTLE PIG ESCAPING" from the Three Little Pigs story. Made in the 1880s by McLoughlin Brothers. The puzzle still has its original box with a beautiful lithographed cover. The actual puzzle is 5 3/8 inches by 7 1/8 inches. The box is 5 inches by 7 inches and 1 inch deep. The box bottom is very clean and there is some minor rubbing in the bottom right corner. The lid is also very nice but there is a split on the bottom right and side of lid is slightly separating from top. The puzzle is complete and there is some foxing and minor discoloration especially in the upper left corner (see pic#3). Color is good and is not faded and very even throughout both the puzzle and lid cover. A very nice early lithographed puzzle.
