This is an incredible mid 1800's solid maple rolling pin. It is a hand carved, single piece of solid maple. It is not turned on any type of lathe, this is all hand carved and finished. The 150+ year old maple patina is original. It has slight bumps and knots in the center rolling section and is not even all the way around. It has two small knobs for handles on either side. It measures approx. 17 1/8" long, one handle is approx. 1 1/4" long and the other handle is approx. 1 1/8" long, the center section is approx. 14 1/2" long and it is approx. 1 3/4" across the center section at its widest. It has a couple of small age splits on either handle. There is a early hand made hole on one handle for hanging.
