GREEN PAINTED SAP BUCKET OR PAIL c.19thC

An attractive green painted sap bucket or pail. Made in the later half of the 19thC. The bucket retains its original Windsor green paint. It is 6 3/8 inches high to top of rim, about 11 1/4 inches high to top of handle and the top diameter is about 9 1/4 inches. The bucket shows some wear on the paint and the metal bands have some minor rusting and pitting. There is a wooden handle and wire bail. The handle is the same color as the bucket. There is a small chip on rim and a few spots of very minor wood loss. On the bottom a few staves show some insect holes from when this hung in an outdoor shed or barn. Overall the condition is very nice on this green sap bucket or pail.
