FOOD CHOPPER PATENT DATED 1884

Bell shaped food chopper with a patent dated blade. Food chopper has 3 blades that intersect at the center. The blades are set in a brass ring then attached to a wooden handle. The handle has 3 incised lines near the top for decoration. The patent date is Feb. 22, 1884. The chopper is a generous 9 1/2 inches long. The wooden shaft is 4 7/8 inches and the brass ring and blades are 4 5/8 inches. Great surface patina on the handle and blades. They have not been cleaned. The blades have had some surface rust but still retain about 60% or more of the original japanning. The handle does have some minor chips on the bulbous section above the brass ring. The chips have the same patina as the handle.
