Wonderful mid 18th Century five slat or ladder back side chair having 5 beautifully graduated slats, boldly turned front stretcher and original ball feet. The chair measures 48 1/8 inches high, 19 inches wide and the seat is 17 1/2 inches high. Refinished a number of years ago, it retains an early rush seat and visible natural wear to the front stretcher from years of feet resting upon it. There are no repairs or replacements. Five slat-back chairs are getting hard to find.
