This cutlery tray has great form and style. It is constructed using tiny square cut brad nails. The tray is 12 3/8 inches long, 7 3/4 inches wide and about 4 3/4 inches high. It is in excellent structural condition. The tray is signed in pencil on bottom (see PIC#6) there is an illegible name and then the date July 29, 1869. The current paint is very early 20th Century and is a white and lipstick orange red. You can see the brush strokes on the paint. This paint is over an original dark blue. Some wear spots on the handle and base area. This cutlery tray has just a great wonderful form and line with its scalloped sides and cut-out handle.
